Stockyard Hill Wind Farm recognises the importance of community consultation throughout the development of the project, with feedback from the consultation process helping to inform and shape the project.
Throughout the development of the project, we have and will continue to provide regular updates and project information via letterbox drop of project newsletters, the website, displays at community events, as well as ongoing visits with people living in the area.
To encourage anyone interested in the project to have a say, a range of methods have been developed so that people can provide feedback to us directly. We are happy to arrange a presentation for a community group, or a meeting for smaller numbers. We are also happy to provide information either by phone, email or post.
As part of the development of the project, we are continuing to make visits to neighbouring residences and holding one-on-one meetings to actively listen to the community’s views on the project. Feedback from the community has been considered alongside technical and environmental assessments, and has influenced the design of the proposed wind farm.
Consultation with the community and stakeholders will continue throughout the life of the project.
Stockyard Hill Wind Farm has committed to develop a Community Investment Program, which will help initiatives that benefit the community and make a lasting contribution to the area.
Community Reference Group
A Community Reference Group will be formed to become a key point of contact for the community in relation to the Stockyard Hill Wind Farm. It is anticipated that the Community Reference Group will play an important role in informing the community about the project and will also provide feedback to guide the project’s development. The Community Reference Group will meet on a regular basis and provide feedback to Stockyard Hill Wind Farm.
