About Stockyard Hill

The project consists of 149 approved wind turbines located approximately 35 km west of Ballarat. The Stockyard Hill Wind Farm has the potential to harness one of Victoria’s best wind resources and will provide substantial environmental, community and economic benefits, and will have the potential to power approximately 390,000 homes annually.
The project commenced construction in May 2018.

A blade viewing event will be held for the community in Beaufort on the morning of Friday 3rd May. For further details please click here.

First turbine installed

Goldwind Australia announced today it has successfully installed the first wind turbine at Stockyard Hill Wind Farm.

The wind turbine is the first of 149 Goldwind wind turbines to be installed at the project site, with the remainder to be installed throughout 2019. Full details
